C-6 swap

Post by Darren »

Before I go out and get all cold and dirty again, can one of you tell me whether I need the driveshaft/s out of the donor vehicle. I'm replacing my 3sp column shift in a '71 with a C-6 out of a '72 F250.

Thanky

i think you will find that the lwb two piece driveline is smaller in diameter than the c6 two piece. but you will need the front shaft for sure. because of the different lengths of three speed vs c6. i'm pretty sure about the length thing. i am positive about thre diameter thing. i think i have or had some comparison shots but i dont know. i will look later on photobucket to see if i still have them.
