Illegal use of porcelain
As if we didn't have enough work to do on our project, Friday night someone vandalized the engine. Our truck is down to the frame, engine and cab, so it was easy to get to. They tore off all the spark plug wires and distributor cap, bent the gas line, and busted the porcelain off all the spark plugs. They also broke the passenger door window of my '02 Ford and stole my satellite radio. I couldn't understand why they messed with the old truck. The police officer that came out said they probably used the porcelain to break the window in the '02 truck, it's not as loud as using a brick or rock, and will crack the glass easily. I've never heard of such a thing. There was no broken procelain anywhere to be found, so they must of taken the pieces with them.
So now the only thing on our truck that worked, needs to be repaired. It's an easy fix, but it's also frustrating and a bit demoralizing.

Find 'em.
Beat 'em.
Shoot 'em.
Hang 'em.
Then get rough with them.

re: Illegal use of porcelain
What a downer it is to be ripped off in anyway!!! Really low life cretins. The last year I lived in San Bernardino CA (1990) our house was broken into 3 times. Even had my homeowners insurance canceled because of it. And they were kids, because they always just emptied a wastebasket and filled it up with small easy to carry stuff, like jewelry, even food and aftershave. The last time they broke my kids bedroom window, which really got to me because it scared my girls so bad, even though we weren't home when it happened. Cops knew who they were but couldn't get enough evidence to book them. Several years before that I had my 1st Mountain Bike (which I built from scratch) stolen from my Garage in broad daylight while I was home, but with garage door open because I was only going to be there a few minutes. I hate theives.

re: Illegal use of porcelain
Thanks guys for the support. We plan to fix the damage this weekend, and make a trip to the parts yards for some other things, so this won't slow us down too much.
We've talked about what we could have done, or could do, to prevent something like this from happening. Thing is, if someone is going to do this kinda evil crap, seems like they will figure out a way. I've been parking the '02 truck outside, since the garage is full of 67-72 parts, and keeping it locked at night. If it had been unlocked, they could have just opened the door to steal what they wanted, and not needed to bust up the spark plugs and break my window. Convoluted way of looking at it I guess.

B*****ds.Oh well. I have had my mirrors messed with. Thats all the person is doing. I think it may be my buddy he wants to trade his low mounts off his 86 f150 for my dual cone sport mirrors.Oh and last paycheck 2 weeks ago, My #3 plug wire was removed while i was inside eating at wendys.
Came out and it was on my driver seat in about three peices. and a hole had been punctured in my new heater core hose. made me 45 minutes late for work. Boss understood. Thank god. He drives a 69 f100 Sport custom.

I don't want to give em a heart-attack. That is what would happen if I answered the door in the buff. Heck it almost scares me to death when I step out of the shower and look in the mirror.~Mancar1~
