update on 68-

Post by 68swb »

well today i got the 429' all wired up, and able to turn over the motor with the key. Since i have had it, it now has Front disc and power brake conversion, the 429 with dura spark ign. and performer cam in it, i still have the 3 spd on the column. all i need to do now is get the fuel lines up to the carb,(all the rest is steel braided) and put the front clip back on then on to the painting and interior.

I beleive that the trans will last a long time. They are strong and behind many different fes so i am not worried and i think that they are even behind 460's in some cars.

I noticed that up a few posts i was drooling over the 429. Is it coincidence that i now have a 429 in my truck, with hedman headers even? :D

I like your home made heat shield. Make sure you use good big wires too. My 460 has a hard time starting sometimes when it is hot and I know it is the wires to the starter getting hot.
