I got the motor setting in there today it looks like I'm gonna have alot of work making the motor mounts fit and a transmission crossmember because of that dang aux tank. Atleast the exhaust looks like an easy fit.

Kind of a small update but I got my motor mounts figured out with a little help from fordman I learned there are other pre-drilled holes and I got one perch moved up and it looks like it'll work out perfect now I and just need to pick up some I6 mounts for our years of trucks and then the motor will be in. I also got a free toolbox that I think looks kind of cool. Also if I don't go with a floor shifter I'll have a center consel.

Its a little update I painted the motor and started to try and take the bed off and got 1 bolt into it and I couldn't get the rest to break loose and with that dang aux tank I can't get two of them. So I'm thinking about tommrrow going and try to rent some oxy-fuel cutting torches and just cut all the heads off and cut the toolbox and aux filler neck out while I'm at it. I still can't find the right motor mounts, tommrrow I'll pick up my 3rd set it seems like no one can find the right set if this set don't fit I'm just gonna order them from LMC or one of those company's. Also the carb and all that mess with the polution control junk will be lost when I get my different carb and non electronic distributer. Next on the list when I get the motor mount junk figured out is to pull my 70's tranny crossmember ans tail housing get that all squared away then figure out shifter,D/S,brakes all that mess  .

You might look at your local bone yard for some different engine perches. Get some for a 300. That might help your motor mount problems.

I like that old school buddy seat.

How's it been papabug?

I thought of that but Keith told me they were the right perches. It just a matter of going to the O'Reilly's that my bro works at and he'll look through the books and find them. The kids that work at the one here in town are if it ain't in the computer they don't have it.

Today I started cleaning up the inside more after having it all closed up while I was in IL last weekend it really STUNK!! So I washed the door panels, dash and basically cleaned it all up. Now it looks alot better inside but I wouldn't know if the smell went away.

Now :D

Mounted Gauges

I bought this at a flee market in a small town in rual IL I don't know what it came out of but when I first saw it I right away thought it needs to be in the new truck.

Shined up the paint with a little bit of clear coat.

I still need to go through the brakes and get a carb, distributer, and get my power steering all hooked up. The next project will be changing the trans cross member from the 70 to the 72 and also changing the tail housings. GETTING THERE!!

I don't think I could fool my friends they would know the difference. But Iam gonna put some cab lights on the new one and when I can afford the tires they'll both have nice wheels on them. It weird the younger ones the bigger one

They both had slip yokes and I'm using the yoke from the van on my 70 but I was trying to loosten up the tranny mount on the van I ended up breaking the tail housing around the mount.
