Battery charger recommendations?

As title says, pro's and cons of battery chargers for both car and mower? I need one, ready to buy, can't decide, your thoughts? Banjo.

are you looking fo rone with a jump start feature or an overnight charger or both. i can't recommend a certain on but those are the features that might help you narrow down your choices. the one i have is old and it is a jump start with a 12 hour charge cycle on a timer.

Best battery charger money I have ever spent. I have extra pigtails on all my vehicles (cars trucks lawn mower ect ect) You just plug the unit into the pigtail and let it be.

I have to say I've had and killed a ton of chargers. The best little one I had was a 60's sears 10 amp jobber it's still around but the ammeter stopped working. My favorite is a big Snap-On with jump start ability. The Snap-On is tough as nails and never lets me down, but it cost me an arm and a leg. I had another big one before the Snap-on, I think it was Kaufman? I killed it inside a year and tossed it.

A big honking Charger can easily cook a lawn mower battery. After that you have to buy a new battery.

My dad and I both have one of these chargers and have used them for years. He bought his to tend to a car that rarely gets driven. He had it plugged in everyday for years without problems. I bought mine because I had a 6 volt bug that got driven to work before sunrise and home after sunset, which the factory charging system couldn't handle (headlights always on). Anyway, I used mine about every other night for a year until I sold the car and still use it from time to time when a battery dies or we go on vacation. Point is I've seen two that got regular use and are still working years later.
