Ive posted bits and pieces so heres my official project thread.
I started out buying the two tone green 71 and after purchase I knew I wanted to do a frame up. After disassembling it I came across lots of issues, mostly rust and rot. Im slowly gathering parts and pieces to replace the ones I cant re-use. I also picked up a California cab which is completely rust free but has lots of little issues I need to fix, none of which are easy. So heres the 71 project files.

Then last Saturday I acquired a 72 that was wrecked to use for some of the parts I need, like a decent bed. The more I look at it, the bigger my dilemma because its in pretty good shape already and only has 58k miles. I may end up transplanting most of it to the 71 frame once i get it finished and painted.

Re: Flyboy71 project truck + one
i got started wrapping myself up liek you are doing right now. except i didnt take my first two trucks apart yet. i no have 4 trucks. and two parts trucks. the last two trucks are half way back together now. i am looking fo ra few minor parts for the one truck. the other truck i just havent had time to mess with. this whole time i am getting letters from this city or that city or other palces i have trucks at. and i cant seem to get any one fothe trucks started or even completed. i cant find the parts for the truck i am tryign toget rid of. i misplaced those parts some how. i did find half of the heater controls tonight. no wi need to find the other half. plus all of my other work i have going on. i am just swamped over. be careful. dont quit. do one truck at a time. try to keep everything in order and out of site.
one idea that did come to mind is to swap over what you need for the orange truck from one of your other parts trucks and just finish it up first. it may be the easiest oen to fix. then go back to what you had started before it came around.

Actually the orange truck is the one with the bent frame. It has a lot of good parts. Ill get the frame from the 71 fixed up,and painted and move pieces over starting with the 302 and auto tranny and drivetrain.
