Hi! Here are just a few photos of the clutch linkage parts going together.
I forgot about the bracket that fastens to the engine block, so I didn't properly refinish it. I just hit it with tons of brake cleaner, then used an Eastwood Rust Encapsulater paint bomb on it. It turned out looking pretty nice thought I think, especially considering the low investment on the finish!
In addition to the finish, it got a new plastic ball, felt gasket, and a fresh coat of white lithium grease.
There it is on the engine, looking pretty tidy.
Here's the component that goes on the frame. It got sandblasted and had Rust Bullet brushed on. It has a new felt gasket and plastic ball (and white lithium grease too).
I got the linkage all together and worked the pedal for the first time--it feels like a million bucks now!

Hey Fordman thanks for replying!
If I remember correctly, you left that bracket in a plastic crate full of parts you pulled during the tear down. The crate's under the long shelf in the back of your garage, with a roll of sound insulation on top.
If I've guessed right, then I have a new career opportunity that I'd never dreamed of before!

Re: #50's clutch linkage parts!
close. i did have it in a plastic bucket the last tiem i saw it. but i moved it from that bucket. but i dont know where it went. the roll o finsulation is on the back porch. the shelf isnt really a shefl. it a pallet with 8 inch bricks under it. the bucket was on top. i thought the bracket made it into the house. but i cant find it in any of my boxes yet.
