I have finally gotten around to posting some pics from my 10 month long rebuild. I will post more later.

Your truck looks great. Nice clean engine bay. It would be cool to see the whole truck.

Green needles on the gauges? Did you take apart and paint the needles?
Oh.. and looks good!

Re: Aftermath of the rebuild project
The needles were pretty faded. I went to the store to buy some red or orange paint but could only find green. I put a piece of paper under the needles to cover up the gauge and used the green paint marker very carefully. To paint close to the base, I painted the end of a toothpick and used it.

WOW! I like the black F600 dash. I always wondered how they would look black. Like the green needles too. What trans do you have?

I like the whole package. Can I ask does your exhaust pipes go down to a Y-pipe? Whats the config. of the rest of your exhaust. I am impressed with the downpipes as I can see them, looks like the flow would be perfect.

Re: Aftermath of the rebuild project
Sorry, it's been awhile since I've logged on. Let me answer some of your questions.
Lance65: That is a overdrive 4 speed (4th gear OD) out of an '86 model F-150 that had a 300. Bolted right on up to the engine but I had to cut a BIG OLE hole in the floor for it to fit. I love the overdrive.
JZJAMES: No Y-Pipe installed. I bought those split exhaust off of e-bay for around $80.00. They came off of an '87 model F-150 with a 300. I've got two seperated pipes running into two seperate glasspacks that run the length of my long wheelbase. As for the carpet, I went to Lowe's and bought some outdoor carpet. Spent about $40.00 on that. It it pieced together in a lot of different spots but it's real hard to tell.
Here are some pics of the outside.....See why it's been named Big Bird
