Put on the wind shield washer resivor, powder coated hood hinges, raidiator, A/C condencer, A/C dryer, top grill support, LMC heavy duty head light wire harness, and all the belts today. I'll have to take off the fan to install the fan shroud though

A pic of the seat from NPD I still have to install the original deco buttons.

thanks 03RANERXLT,
WARNING!!! don't try and do it all in a yaer. Most woman can't handle it. First all the money you spend, then all the time you spend on your truck. Don't ask me how I know, because for me it's been almost 4 years of getting everything I needed for the build, and this year was putting it all together. You have been warned...

Pics of my 71's Progress (this month)

Post by sport71 »

Well guys it official, my truck will be ready this month.. I just regesterd it today, and got my customized plates orderd. I'll be posting a video of the first start, and drive. The mechine shop wants to start it for the waranty, but can't get around to it for two weeks. I'll be taking it to the auto body shop, and have them do all the finishing touches. That way when they finish I just take it to the mechine shop.
:pop: :pop: :pop: :pop: :pop: :pop: :pop: :pop: you guys..

We got the truck started and fine tuned this past week. Dad adjusted the valves, and while he was doing that, oil spurted allover the motor. Now there's oil coming out from the check cover on the C-6. My dad thinks that it might be the oil from adjusting the valve covers still running down, since we haven’t had the motor running for a very long time. I really hope so because you know what that means…more time that I won’t be driving my truck.

With that aside, we loaded it on the dolly, and now we're off to the paint shop for final assembly.

I’ll post more pics in 2 weeks…
