I know. I was gonna switch tail housing with my 70 but it looks like its less than an inch different. I never would have thought that a 2 year difference would change tail housing lengths.

what you need a c4?

i have the one from my truck from when I swapped up to the c6/390 combo rebuilt with shift kit two years ago.

we can work something out, shipping would be expensive though.

I finally got around to working on the Camper Specail since I've been busy working on the 70 so I can drive her. I haven't got a lot done since there's a hold up in getting the stuff I need to fire the motor. But every little bit of work gets me one step farther.

Put the worn out ol 302 to work pullin it off of the side of the house.

Image

Made a temp. back window to keep the mud dobbers and rain out.

Image

Little bits and pices of motor work and tommrrow I might try and make an alt. wiring harness

Image

Image

My speaker/shelf in the works. It was orignally made by my dad for his van and I've been editing it to fit the bump.

One pice at a time but soon at least I can hear it make some noise.

Did a little exhaust work today. I couldn't afford the chrome stack so I just made one out of some old exhaust pipe. I think it looks cool it'll get the job done till I can afford the nice 5" chrome one. Now I really can't wait to hear it run :D

Made of all left over pipe

Made a brace to keep the rusted out box from coming apart

I like the home brew stack. I want to hear it run. Put up a vid as soon as you get it running.

After my last update I went to turn the motor over to TDC to install my points distributer and discovered it was locked up. After some choice words I started dumping keroscene and PB blaster down it the cylinders and I think it's olny one or two keeping it from turning over. So a week ago I was reading my dads Hemming's Car magazine and saw an add for this stuff that'll unlock any stuck motor or your money back so I ordered some and it came today so maby tommrrow I'm gonna pour some down in the motor and with a little luck it'll free it up. I really hope it works I want to hear what a 300 with a stack sounds like.

Here's the stuff

The stuff I bought didn't work so I've been tearing down the motor. I've gotten the lifters, cam, head, valve train, and timing gears off and its still locked up. So this weekwnd I'm gonna start pulling the motor and a rebuild on it. Plus I've got a 4spd to install in it. Here's some pictures of the little stuff I've been doing latley.

Here's the torn up motor.

Image

Here's the timing gear and what's left of what holds the cam in that my dad broke trying to get the gear off :x

Image

All the parts

Image

Also swapped out the grille frame. Here's the old

Image

And the new

Image

AndI changed the door too.

Image

I bought thease lights at the swap meet. That I'm gonna hook up with the front lights so they'll light up when they're on and flash when the turn signals are used.

As it sits now.

I got the motor pulled out since my last update and its sitting waiting to have the pan taken off and see what's holding up. I've just got to come up with some money to rebuild the 300 and I still have to find a flywheel and z-bar bracket so I can put the NP435 in the CS and use its C6 in my 70 F100. While I've been waiting to get the 300 worked on I started making a flatbed since the other bed was rotted beond repair. Here's what I've gotten done so far.
