My truck is finally painted

Post by towtruckerfour »

I got my truck back today and the color is just what I wanted. It was primered before.

Now it is 2008 Ford Dark Blue

I had it painted by Maaco. They did a good job and the owner has a 67 Ford.

Why is it that the trucks are always the best running vehicles in the family?

Hey Troy! That looks outstanding. I think that's a great color choice!

Did they do any body work prior to paint? And is that a base/clear coat system or a single stage paint type?

Also, if you don't mind me asking, what was the ballpark on total cost? I'm guessing that there are probably lots of guys like me who are always interested in different options for getting their trucks painted, and I'm naturally curious about this!

Thanks very much for posting the photos Troy!

Thanks for the compliments guys. With winter coming, I needed to get some paint on it before the weather gets worse. It does look almost black from a distance.
Robroy-It was a single stage paint that they used. I went with the supreme package which cost me $875.00 because it was a truck. I did all the bodywork and just stripped it enough where I could still drive it to Boise which is 40 miles away. That was a cold ride with no interior. I'm happy with it.
