Whats a complete auxilary tank setup worth

Post by junkyardjeff »

I went in on a 72 F250 ranger XLT to use for parts and it has a complete aux tank and we might be considering offers when we strip it,this truck is going to get me a 3.73 and a good step bumper for my 66. Jeff

That depends completely on what style of auxiliary tank....whether it's a factory unit or a dealer add-on. Is it inside or outside the frame rails? The in-frame tanks are worth a bit more, since they're factory and in a bit more secure location....and you can still find parts for them. Plus, many dealer-installed add-on units aren't set up with a float, so they can't be used as a primary tank.

I forgot to mention that it is the factory inside the frame unit and it has all parts. Jeff
