Carefull what you sell with hopes of buying it back.

Post by rjewkes »

Well when i sold my crew in Feb, this year the gentleman i sold it too intentions were to help me get my bills and overall finance straitend out. This did help alot right now after 2 1/2 months of no work, i'm only 600 in the hole. by the time i get my first paycheck i'll be about 1200-1300 in the same hole.

Well anyway the intention was to use all the parts i got with the truck or atleast the reusable ones before buying New repop. O fcourse the guy doing the build is going top shelf with all the parts, Dennis carpenter everything he possably can. Thats sadly good news, that atleast it's getting the good parts. but after the build it'll only be driven once a year.

But the sad news is instead of it getting maybe 2k worth of work and paying the 2k i sold it for to get it back at 4k, it's now gonna have almost 20K in it including a 6k paint job done by the Chromeshop Mafia guys(think Trick my truck on cmt).

They do beautiful work no doubt. So now when i have the money i'll be searchin for an allready assembled and running crewcab. I'm getting the cab from the truck they got the bed from, and i get all my buckets of parts back.

but here are pics of the crew as it sits.

immaculate and all ready painted, bright orange but painted. other than the caddilac steering column and wheel, they subframed the frame to get the chevy lowering option. other than the column being wrong brand nothing else is gimmicked though. also it comes with duraspark II stuff in it.

I'll have to take and redo the harness with one of my spares, almost thinking about using the spare one i have to guide me through making my own newer one with a 80's-90's ford blade fuse fusebox, maybe outa a truck possably out of a cougar or t-bird.
