Why 67 -72?

I found it for a good deal. I like the 79 back ford trucks and mavericks. I like that with a basic set of tools you can take the whole truck apart

They are a solid well built truck. Light enough to handle a substantial payload, but very rugged.
The only other truck I would consider is the I.H. from the same time period.

Absolutely! I also love the old International Harvester trucks.

hey i have a 69 international 1ton with a dumpbed it is a great truck just burns lots of gas and leaks/burns oil but i have no idea how many miles are on it the previous owner disconected the speedometer i dont know why maybe the cables just broken but he also disconnected the oil pressure gauge and the temp gauge i hokked them back up and they work just fine

I guess you could say that this truck is the inspiration for this entire website. It's my dad's '71 F250, the vehicle in which I learned to drive a stick-shift.



I always just liked it's ruggedness and simplicity, and when I decided I needed a cool vintage truck to use as a tow vehicle for my '67 442, I started looking for a similar truck....and found this in 2003.



Got pretty close! This website was started about 2 days later.

I love the fact that we can tear them down to a bare frame and rebuild them with just a little investment. (though you CAN spend some serious money) They're just so basic.
They look dam sharp IMHO! For such a simple design they have a classic look.

The reason I got one is because I've always been a Ford guy, and my Dad's first truck was a '67 which my Grandpa had also driven, I really do wish I could get my hands on that truck but with as strong of a truck bumps I know that it's probably still on the road somewhere. Other than that, I love the simplicity these things were built before vehicles got complicated and the smooth body lines will always look good, Also they were built when the big 3 weren't afraid to use a little bit of sheet metal, and with my truck I'll be the only kid at our school with manual steering and manual drum brakes, not to mention the 4 speed

Well why I wanted and bought one was I love the looks of them and mostly my cousin had one when we were in HS and we used to have a blast in that truck. I guess it reminds me of growing up.

My dad bought mine new. I always wanted it. I remember leaving elementary school 3 days in a row and seeing my truck sitting on the side of the road with a for sale sign on it. I took the sign off each day and tore it up and hide it. The 4th day my truck was back home.
Dad gave her to me when I was 15 and I have had her every since.
I think the 71 F100 Sport Custom is the prettiest front end of any truck made

I just love old cars and well....the traditional hotrods are getting harder to find and more expensive. So far I'm linking it for it's simplicity and vintage looks.

I hope to pass mine on to my kids like my brother plans to pass on my dad's '72 Land Cruiser to his.

I've always wanted a truck ever since I was in high school I never owned one till about 5 years ago, and I wouldn't give it up for anything. I can't add anything to what's already been said here. They look good, They run good, it takes alot to kill 'em, they'll pull about anything, some good tires and a little weight in the back and they're pretty good in the snow, Ford's made the best truck on the market for a while, but this year span tops anything Ford's ever made.

They were tough and built for generations.

Imho, the basic design of these trucks at their plainest stands the test of time better than most. Too much chrome, like the 70-72 Ranger stuff actually detracts from the look of it to me but that's just my two cents. The new slab sided trucks look awkward and just don't have any appeal. Then you get the hideous new ch#vs with those chrome pontoons pasted on the front...

I like the 67-72 Because when you drive it you feel like your in a TRUCK The stiff clutch,Bouncy seat,knowing that its in gear when you shift it,the sound and smell of a carbureted Big Block.. and it looks awesome

that what i should have done with my dads scout he sold it for 50 bucks it was worth alot more than that i would have gave him twice that

I love my 72 (prolly going to like it more once this 466" swap is over) but I really love my 63 Unibody, I've had it for 25 years and up until mid-2008 it was my daily driver.
