what was the first year fo ra 351w in ford trucks?

I'm pretty sure it's 1984. I know they offered both the 351M and 351W for a year or two during the transition, and if you look for 351 parts for 1984 it is the first year they offer two different versions; vin G for 351M and vin H for 351W.

i bought a new lariat in 81 with a 351 windsor only 2bbl available.got an 84 new same engine then in late 84 and 85 they had the 351 h.o with the 4 barrell,since 86 i've become a boob man(brotherhood of oil burners)and i'm not going back
