71f100and dodgemagnum,

NPD's got them in their catalog Page-176.
I believe that DC has them also, (but be prepared to wait on the part from them). Image

Ditto that, I wouldn't buy a questionable repro when good ones are out there for a song. The cables go bad and the chrome pits on the bezel and knobs, all of which are replacable.

I'm going to have to work on my heater controls/cables too. In the past on other Fords with Bowden cables, that's what they are called don't ask me how I know or remember I just heard or read it sometime, I spray PB Blaster down through them while they're out. Let it sit a day, work it back and forth, and repeat until they move freely. You'll see rust run out of the housing, that means you are doing something right. tnbumper

i have never seen controls that were bad. only stuck cabels and soemone pushed or pulled so hard they bent or broke the control knobs off of them.

The "Off, Heat, Defrost" lever broke on mine and it was an easy TIG welding repair. I built up extra metal where it broke so now it's stronger than new. I don't know how much welders charge but, once the unit is removed from the truck, it's only a few minute job . If you can't find someone and it's worth the postage both ways to you, I'll weld it for you. Just send me a PM.

(I'm assuming it broke behind the bazel where a weld wouldn't be seen.)
