Good evening Sport71!

Thank you so much for making such a quality video! I used the (H)igh (Q)uality option to view it, then made it full screen and turned up the speaker volume. Then I watched it several times in a row!

I have two favorite parts: the sound your engine makes when you're pulling out of the garage, and the when you first cut loose with the engine, right after that white vehicle passed you on the quiet street!

After seeing it I went and got Kasie and dragged her in to the office to see that part. I said, "This guy put an engine in his truck that's similar to what I'm putting in mine, but his seems a little more radical...but you have to see this, because this is a vision of the future." She rolled her eyes and drooped her shoulders but humored me. On the way to the office, she said, "You never want to watch my jewelry making videos--it's not fair," and I said, "If your jewelry weighed 5,000 pounds and made loud noises, I'd want to watch your videos!"

Then I played that first hard acceleration scene. I said, "Can you BELIEVE that!? That's kind of what it's going to be like!!!"

Then you pulled out on the main drag and turned on your DVD player. She said, "He's gunna crash if he keeps looking at that thing!"

You made an excellent video! I can tell what a super fun thing you've built, and how insanely extreme its performance is! And the quality and length of the video is the best I've seen so far of any Bumpside. It would be THE BEST to see more video of your truck.

You know what would be a good follow-up? If you were to station your camera man on the sidewalk, then blast by really fast a few times!

Are you planning on taking it to a local track, to fully test out the engine? Also, since your engine's fresh, how much throttle have you given it yet? Do you need to go easy on it for the first 500 or 1,000 miles or anything?

Thanks robroy,
It's been a fun ride. Next time I'll do the pass by for everyone to see.
I would love taking it to the track, just to see what she has. I also plan on taking it to the dino and see how much it pulls.
I changed the oil the first 100 miles, and right now It has 376 miles on it. I used 1 qt. LUCAS heavy duty oil stablilizer, alog with valvoline 20/50, and the motor just purrrrs with that LUCAS. I full throttled it as soon as I got the truck. If any thing is going to happen it would be best now than later. I now that when a race car is at the track and they rebuild the block it's never broken in, but I guess it's ok to go the 500 miles and then step on it.

LOL!!! good luck with your build.

Wow That is one fine truck. From Texas no less. Mission is on my list of place to visit now. And the look on the 15 year olds face tells the whole story . Be proud .

Good evening Ruben! Thanks for replying to my questions!

Fantastic! I could watch video clips of your truck for hours.
sport71 wrote:I would love taking it to the track, just to see what she has.
That's probably what you'll have to do! Based on how things looked in your video, there's no way you could open it on the street for more than a couple seconds at a time. It looked brutal.
sport71 wrote:I also plan on taking it to the dino and see how much it pulls.
That's a great idea! Have you checked out any shops or prices yet? For a dyno + tune, I've heard prices between $700 and $1,000.

Did you get any software-based dyno estimates from the builder (sorry if I missed this earlier in your thread)?

Your point about finding the problems now rather than later sounds very wise, Ruben! And I see what you mean about the race cars--you could be right about this!

That hood scoop is one of the most awesome features of your truck. It adds so much personality to it, and it's prominently visible while you're driving around!

Thanks again Ruben!

Well I'm done here at Fordification, and I just want to thank all of you who had part in my build. I have learned so much here, and owe it all to you. Also I would like to take the time to say that I’m truly sorry if I have ever offended anyone here on this site, we can learn from our mistakes.
I’ll be checking in time to time though just to see what’s up. I wish this site the best.
If it weren’t for you guys, it wouldn't have been so smooth from start to finish. Now I'll be enjoying my new truck, and all the attention I get, and I can't wait for the first car show that I can put Sport71 in. I hope just to bring home one trophy.
May the blessings of God always be with you all.

Hey Sport 71,

Let me start by congratulating you on such a great job that you have done on that truck! That engine sounds great and it moves pretty quick! I saw the other bump in your driveway it looks pretty clean too! Do you have any pics here on Fordification on that one I would love to see more of it! Again Congrats!
