Fantastic! I could watch video clips of your truck for hours.sport71 wrote:It's been a fun ride. Next time I'll do the pass by for everyone to see.
That's probably what you'll have to do! Based on how things looked in your video, there's no way you could open it on the street for more than a couple seconds at a time. It looked brutal.sport71 wrote:I would love taking it to the track, just to see what she has.
That's a great idea! Have you checked out any shops or prices yet? For a dyno + tune, I've heard prices between $700 and $1,000.sport71 wrote:I also plan on taking it to the dino and see how much it pulls.
Your point about finding the problems now rather than later sounds very wise, Ruben! And I see what you mean about the race cars--you could be right about this!sport71 wrote:I changed the oil the first 100 miles, and right now It has 376 miles on it. I used 1 qt. LUCAS heavy duty oil stablilizer, alog with valvoline 20/50, and the motor just purrrrs with that LUCAS. I full throttled it as soon as I got the truck. If any thing is going to happen it would be best now than later. I now that when a race car is at the track and they rebuild the block it's never broken in, but I guess it's ok to go the 500 miles and then step on it.
