old school 68 long bed Ranger
Here are some photos of my 68 long bed Ranger. It is a 360 with 3 on the tree and a/c truck.
The theme of the truck is to keep it a late 60's very mild custom. Modifing things most guys wont know are changed unless you are familiar with these trucks.
All side and lower chrome has been removed and holes welded. The only chrome I am keeping is the roof drip rail and roof bet line chrome.
It will be artic white with a red metal flaked roof and mooneyes red metal flaked steering wheel. The rear has been flipped and the helper spring removed. The front coils have been cut and it still needs an alignment. Rims are Wheel Vintiques series 64 with pinner white walls. The seat is white with red piping and a gray center section that has been pleated. Carpet will be red as well as the seat belts.
All the seams have been welded up and smoothed on the truck as well. Hope to have it on the road mid spring if all goes well.
Shows some of the pre-primer body work
Shows the hood seams filled and dash treatment
Shows dash treatment
Bedsides
Tailgate treatment
Thanks
Larry

, I think they look real nice, both on the tail gate and on the dash. Looks like your truck is really coming along .

Re: old school 68 long bed Ranger
Guys
Thanks for the kind words. The truck is turning out just as I had hoped. Spent Saturday working on the bed and tomorrow night will work on the tabs to bolt the gas tank in the bed as well.
Saturday I will be installing a new clutch, pressure plate and through out bearing and turning the three on the tree to a three speed on the floor with a Mr gasket floor shifter.
Then the wet sanding will start.
I wish i could take credit for the shop. I have some great friends that run a restoration shop that are allowing me to finish the truck at their shop - www.rodsandmods.net
They do great work and have done some movie cars as well - the Yellow cuda in the Bucket List is one of their cars. If you are into newer Mustamgs - they did the killer conversion of old 67 tin on the newer bodies when they were teamed up with Retrobuilt. Great guys all around......plus they let me use their cool tools which make it very easy to do all the mods the the truck!!!
Thanks again and more photos will be psted as it moved forward!
