The shipping weight with the pallet was 170 pounds. I would say the pallet weighs around 25 pounds.70shortwide wrote:how much does that setup weigh as it sits?

Dont forget 90 percent of the crown vic suspension is aluminum. As for the place I will have to find their info. I just filled out the info on uneedapart.com and they sent me an email with what they had.

Just picked up a disc brake 8.8 from a 01 explorer. It was a cash for clunkers car with only 80k miles. Picked it up for 100 bucks. It has 3.73 gears and a limited slip.

Re: CO684x4's 69 2wd low budget quick build (Updated 1-20-10)
Just a small update. got the old suspension and crossmember cut out today. Man that sucked. Anyways I have the crown vic subframe sitting under the truck. I still need to get it centered and drill the holes for the bolts. Also need to box the frame when all is said and done. I think I might need to build another crossmember once everything is bolted in. The frame has some flex to it without the OE crossmember in it. I will have to see if the flex goes away once the CV subframe is bolted in. Anyone who has done this does the frame still flex when the subframe is bolted in?

Ok got the subframe bolted in today. Its all centered and the wheel base is the same. Still need to weld in the support tubes for the bolts. Also still need to box the frame. But its in and looks good.

I bet you'll love the way that front end rides! And the disc braking!

The wheels wont work. The backspacing just isnt right. Too bad, I really like the wheels.
