More done on the 72'...
more disasembly done, get closer to takin it to the frame shop and starting the leaf front conversion...got some temp 2" blocks on the back with the 33" so looks like maybe doing 8-10" springs with 37" tires. Will actually jack it up and down to check what I like with the real 37" tires before getting the new springs.

Hey Todd,
Looking good! I am anxious to see what 37" look like on your truck. still trying to decide what size to put on mine.

going with c6, married NP205 (with 8 1/2" adapter) with a gear vendors aux trans. Changing the bed out and cutting the cab in half and splicing in a different cab...other than that no problems (rusted out all over the front) Those are 33" in the picture and thinking those look small and 35" arent much bigger so believe the 37" tires might look about right??

Re: more disasembly done on the 72'...
thought about the E40D with the over drive since I have everything on the EFI and 10.25 rear (VSS sensor) to use it but the main reason is I dont want to run the BW1356 tcase either, to wide and would have to clock it... so the NP205 is the BOM... but on an E40D they say the front drive shaft will hit the case and maybe linkage issues... etc..etc.. so thinking the aux trans is a gear splitter so really 1, 1.5, 2, 2.5,3, 3.5 gears so actually in the long run better. I also wont run the mechanical speedo on the trans but use the VSS in the 10.25 so just electric speedo

Re: more disasembly done on the 72'...
Have a 4 car and still to small... in the works for the future another 1.5 - 2 car on the side of the house (just for the 72 ) my suburban is in there next to the 72 (open spot in the pic) and the grand cherokee next to that and the jeep wrangler outside (wife not happy about that, thats hers ) so I actually get 3 stalls (when I get the donor truck out wrangler goes back in ..someday )... so somehow between that I have to get it all to fit oh then the motorcycle in front of the grand...

well the beds off the 72 and have only room for 1 driveable car in the garage so (2) outside. Going to try to get the 69 (donor truck) apart on the other side of the 72 and clear more space.

Nice!
Is that a 4x4 front frame on the ground or something that is going to aid you in the conversion????
