68 f100 shortbox

Post by wykidls8 »

hello everyone im new to the site. ive been lurking for about a month. i finally got some pics of the truck i recently purchased off of a farm just rotting away. its a 68 shortbox with a straight 6 and a 4 speed. it hasnt moved since 1987 and was last registered in 1982. i plan on doing a full rebuild with a 302 and full custom interior. im really intrested in mike68merc's build. i love everything about the stance and color. i only work on the truck fridays and saturdays so the build will take a bit. i hope to have it done in a year around the time of my wedding. well onto the pics

i have a question. the crossmember under the engine is full of crud and i cant get a grinder or a scraper in there. any tips on how to remove
this s*** from within? and the block in the pics was being mocked up earlier today to see if i could somehow reuse the existing motor mounts.
