Thanks guys. Im really eager to hear this thing run. Im pretty close to being able to get a radiator.

The other day I got my radiator. Ready-Rad 433433.





Today I did the preliminary routing of my fuel line between the fuel pump and carb. I still have to shorten the fuel hose and clamp everything down. You get the idea tho.

The motor is also sitting on blocks because of the storms we had in the area today. I was taking up half the garage and my mom wanted to park inside.









I still have another $200 worth of little stuff to go to be able to fire off the engine. Things like plugs, hoses, oil, transmission fluid etc.

Shooting for Tuesday to set the motor in.

So today I redid my fuel line routing. I am using 3/8 hard line and 3/8 id hose.

I need some smaller clamps to keep the hose where I want it. But it was kind of a pain to enlarge the mounting holes in the clamps.

I am not sure about the short section of hose at the back between the filter and carb. I kind of feel it is too short and looks funny.







Aside from all that I got a points set, condenser, cap and rotor for the distributor.

Under the hood of my F100 there is a birds nest on top of the passenger inner fender up near the fire wall. Did not think much of it until my dad and I went out to look and discuss what all is going to go on tomorrow when I set the engine in.

Turns out there are now three tiny baby birds.

Think I should just let them be and work around them? Chances of me disturbing the nest are pretty slim. Wont be trying to fire off the motor for another few weeks anyway. Maybe they will be gone by then.

Thanks! Im pretty happy with the color scheme my self.

Past two days I have been wrestleing with getting the motor and c6 in. Would have gotten it done yesterday if I had not had lost one of the flex plate bolts.

Then I found out there is a difference in flywheel and flexplate bolts. One is longer then the other. So two trips to Summit yesterday.

After all that I realized there was no way to get the drain plug off the oil pan to drain the oil. Debated over getting a different pan or going with a rear sump. Ended up just cutting a hole in the frame for now. I can always go back and weld it up when I change to a rear sump pan.

On top of all that the nest under my hood has 3 baby birds in it. So I have been trying to (and done well) at working around them. They are on the passenger inner fender right by the hood hinge. Seeing the hood just sits on my truck right now its no issue. So we can peacefully co-exist.

Sun was still up when we started putting the motor in. The flash made it look darker out then it really was.


Well today I got the alternator hooked up, the hose between the fuel line off the tank and fuel pump on my motor hooked up. Then I installed the crossmember for the transmission. Had to drill two holes for the mounts and then two holes in the frame because the crossmember has to sit back about 2" farther then the two sets of holes already there. After that I installed the carb and adapter and tidied up my fuel line routing. I temporarily bolted the air cleaner on over night to keep stuff out. Tomorrow I will cut a piece of all-thread the proper length and top it off with a stainless wing nut and washer.

You're WAY ahead of me. I went to put my motor in two weeks ago, unboxed my new torque converter only to find that it had the wrong size pilot Had to ship it back to Utah...
