My son drives his '69 every day(I've gotta get him to join here, this place needs some young blood)....I had a good talk w/ him yesterday...gas went up about $.75 a gallon since he started driving it,and I asked him if he wanted to go back to his Nissan because fuel is so much....He told me "no way"...So once in a while I hand him a twenty and tell him to put it in his tank....which is usually good for maybe two days of driving for him,...and a few extra chores done around the house....

I just sent you a note asking about this before I found it here. I'm kinda slow on the draw sometimes.

I'd really enjoy meeting guys that are as crazy about their trucks as I am about mine. Has a date been picked?

Is the event an overnight deal? Will you suggest some places for the wife n kids. I don't think she'd let me go alone.

It's TENTATIVELY looking like it's going to be the second week of November...roughly. :o Mary and I decided we'd be heading down to Texas a month after she gives birth, but the family I'm going to visit will be gone the first week. Mary's been ready to give birth for about 2 weeks now (she's been having on/off contractions). The official due date is Oct. 7.

I wish I could give you a better idea...but until you hear further, plan on it being roughly the second week of November, probably the weekend of Nov. 12-13. I'll get started trying to finalize some plans so we can get the dates nailed down, so those of you who have to can also make plans.

...and just so Mike knows, the delays in nailing down a date are ALL my wife's fault! :P

I'm planning on being there with my ride if I get some engine work done in time. I'll keep watching for dates/directions. Hope gas doesn't go way up $$$$.

Yes, the baby has arrived! :D

OK, so tentatively we're planning on November 12-13 for the Meet & Greet. However, since Chris was the one setting things up, I'll have to touch base with him and make sure those dates will work with whatever he has in mind. Hopefully it will, since I realize that many of you who'd like to attend some SOME kind of advance warning, so you can make plans as needed. I'll let you know as soon as I hear back from him.

I am wondering if anyone in the DFW area want to meet up and all drive down in a convoy. We'll sure turn some heads!!
