Well me and my dad are both big hunters 8)! I got a Remington 887 for Christmas last year and have shot plenty of duck this last season with it and it's probably one of the most rugged guns I've ever had also used it for turkey season this year. Although I have to say my favorite gun would be a .22 that's been passed down from my grandfather to my dad and to me when I was around 10, it's an older Remington and one of the most accurate (seems like the thing is accurate for miles ), and at the same time best looking guns I've fired. Also I have an older .410 that my father gave to me when I was around 7 or 8 I really love the gun but use it mainly just for target practicing, that and it has a stock almost as beautiful as the .22 I mentioned earlier 8). I've never fired a pistol, but have went bow hunting a few times with an older Bear cross-bow that my dad has had since he was a kid, a nice little bow if you ask me 8).

How does that 887 shoot. I heard it is a 870 with a bedliner coating.

I think it shoots great, however so does the 870 that my dad has. There's not too much of a difference it does seem a bit "softer" than the 870 IMO in that you don't seem to get as much recoil, but that could just be me :dk:. That and I just like the way if fits in my hand compared to my dad's 870 I don't really care for the pistol type grip on the stock of a shotgun like the 870 has either. That and the hype about it being a tough gun is IMO not much of a hype at all, it's a very rugged gun IMO but then again I'm usually gentle with any firearms so I can't really attest to exactly how durable it is. I've got a friend with an 887 too and he loves his too. I don't have anything against the 870 other than the pistol-grip on the stock though, other than that I'd say they are both fairly close in performance.

My Grandfather owns a gun shop, so yeah I have a collection at my disposal. He has been in business over 40 years so I grew up around it.

I used to hunt but don't really have time for it anymore. I still occasionally go rabbit hunting though. For that I use the trusty Stevens double barrell. As for guns I own, I have:

an 870 Wingmaster my father gave me for Christmas when I was 12.
I carry a K frame nickle plated S&W .357
1938 Walther PPK
Colt .45
Springfield Combat .45
Chech .380
S&W K frame .38 that was dad's service revolver
1952 Winchester 16ga single shot
couple of Mauser K 98's
High Standard .22
Marlin .22 rifle
M1 carbine.

Wow. When you put 'em all together I look like a gun nut! Stuff just adds up. I have a neighbor who immigrated here from Hungary after WW2 and has a horde of guns that he occasionally dips into when he needs cash. He has a fondness for anything German. That's who I got the Walther from, as well as the M1 carbine. A friend got a mint Lugar w/original clip and holster from him as well for $500. It's an inside joke around the neighborhood that he's really a nazi war criminal hiding out in the 'burbs. He aslo used to raise and train german shepherds. And Hungary was allied with Germany during the war. And he would have been 17 in '44.

Hmmmmmmm....Hogaaaaaaan!!!!

All my friends are gun nuts and elk hunters. I never had the time to get into it. Growing up the quality time I spent with my father was at the drag strip. I've never actually bought a firearm, but do have a few.

Ruger single-six- My dad bought new at Bi-mart in the 60's, still has the original box with the receipt in it.

Remington #34 bolt action .22 rifle- Found this poking out of the dirt in a barn on abondoned property as a teenager. It has a peep sight stick welded to the barrel and is very quiet and very, very hard to miss with. If you can see it you can hit it.

An old Sears and Roebuck semi-auto .22 rifle.

A remington pump .22 rifle with a bad firing pin

and a 1966 model 94 30-30 that's like new with 1966 vintage scope and peepsight. It's a 66, but for some reason it's identicle to any pre-64 model 94 I've compared it to. Looks nothing like what it's supposed to. This is my favorite rifle, really enjoy shooting it and it sits next to the bed just in case.

I'd like to buy a nice, vintage 1911 someday.

I love to hunt and fish! I have several guns but I am partial to Ruger and Remington. Oh and Marlin also. I have several guns that are older than the mid 1960's. One of my favorites is my Remington 11-48 semi-auto 12 ga. It was my Dad's and before that my Grandpa's. I also have my Dad's Marlin 336 in .35 REM. Heckuva deer gun. I deer hunt with my Ruger M-77 MkII .30-06 the most though. I also have a Binelli Nova pump 12 ga that I like too. I have quite a few .22's that I like to plink with and I have a few handguns as well.

Don't really hunt much anymore. Nothing against it, but it's not too practical for me to deal
with. IE: if I shot a deer at my OK place, it's too much of a hassle to transport it, have it
processed, etc.. And I don't have much freezer room here at the house.
But also I've got to where I just like looking at them.. I shoot more with a camera these days
than I do with a gun. I took a trail cam up there last fall, and I do have deer running all
over the place. I knew I did, but I got to verify it with the cams.. Heck, I had a big buck
wander into my camp last fall. He wasn't too afraid of me. I kept beaming him with a light,
and he just stared at me, and finally slowly wandered off.
But I still like to shoot.. But usually cans, targets, etc..
Don't really have a lot of guns, but enough for what I need.. Have a Ruger 10-22 right now
which is my .22 plinker machine. It does pretty well for what I paid for it. Has several mods
including a power custom trigger job, etc, etc..
Have two .410 shotguns.. Both are old.
My usual pistol these days is a .40 S&W.. I use it for house protection, and also wear it when
I'm up in OK putzing around.
As far as just fun shooting, I like a good .22 as much as anything. My 10-22 gets the most use.
IE: if I'm up at the land, I might pop 500 rounds of .22, and maybe only 5-10 rounds from my pistol..
