Both my 72 F100 and the 70 parts truck were made in Canada and sent to Atlanta.

My F-350 was a Canadian made truck. Still has the documentation stickers in the cab behind seat for a production cab-chassis incomplete vehicle.

Most of the custom ordered bumps I've seen were canadian made. I suspect they were catered towards that.

Just checked the VIN on my 72 F100 the other day and found out it was made in Canada (I'm in North Carolina). Maybe that it explains why it runs two shock absorbers per wheel.

The Auto Pact treaty was signed in 1965 allowing the cars and trucks produced to cross the border both ways tariff free. It appears Ford rejigged their distribution to get Oakville supplying Canada and the eastern half of the US and San Jose seemed to fill in the extra needs of the west. There were a lot of R code '66 up F-series trucks including Mercurys sold here in western Canada.
