It's considered Northern, but not by much. Or I have heard it called Far North Bay. Nice scenery, come for the vacation and stay for the probation.quantumleap wrote:sure doesTheEskimo wrote:It's in Lake County, right next to Clearlake. Lake County is just above Napa County if that helps.quantumleap wrote:hey eskimo--where is lower lake?thats like mid california right?

Re: right hand drive bump?
Getting back to the trucks, just about all of the Fords (cars and trucks) exported to rhd countries were sourced out of the Oakville, Ont plant (Ford of Canada). This was because of Canada being a member of the British Commonwealth group of countries and of course Australia too. All the Canadian master parts catalogs like my '61 and '68 Ford/Mercury truck books show rhd parts. Sometimes the vehicles were sent knocked down for assembly and further conversion work in the territories.

Re: right hand drive bump?
My truck was built in Gary Indiana, then shipped and assembled in Sydney, Australia.
Our trucks have VID plates (Vehicle ID Plates). All the info is very different to the US plates.
![Image](http://i289.photobucket.com/albums/ll231/stevemclaren/F100%201969/DSC00333a.jpg)
The VIN on the engine or car will be 6 characters long, for example, JG63UM or AL1JYM. These are decoded as follows;
First character = Product source.
A = USA, C = UK, J = Australia and S and U = Japan.
Second character = Assembly plant.
G = Broadmeadows - (Passenger), L = Broadmeadows – (Truck), H = Brisbane and K = Sydney
3rd & 4th characters = Body Series
See below
5th & 6th characters = year and month of production respectively

Re: right hand drive bump?
Interesting. That's the first I've heard of US production on these. How exactly does he pull Gary, Indiana out of that?
