My stepfather had a white 1970 Mercury Cougar non-XR7 with a b/w houndstooth vinyl top, white vinyl seats with houndstooth inserts, a 302 V8 and auto trans. VERY rare. I wish I had it. He gave it to his daughter who painted the top black because it was "ugly" and then wrecked it. Idiot.
Looked very close to that one.
His next car was a 1978 GMC Caballero Diablo. Again, very rare. Don't know what he did with that one. His was blue and black.
i alaways mention my '77 Nova 305/350TH combo powered. but neever mention my first F100 it was a '72, 360/c6 3.00 ford 9" rear Ranger XLT. Next would be to have my '82 T-bird back as well as my '70 4x4 250 Crew.

I don't want to give em a heart-attack. That is what would happen if I answered the door in the buff. Heck it almost scares me to death when I step out of the shower and look in the mirror.~Mancar1~

I think the only vehicle that comes close is the '68 F100 short bed. It had a 240 engine and 3 speed column shift. The body had a few dents and the floor of the bed was rusted out but otherwise this truck was amazingly clean and original. I noticed just how little rust it had when photographing it for sale. Sold it to a lady and her husband from Oklahoma. She had learned to drive on a truck just like it that was her dads. She was so happy to get the truck so I am not sorry about selling it.
Wish we had my dad's '71 F100 around but I would much rather just have my dad. He was killed in his truck 25 years ago today on his way home from work during a severe thunderstorm. An eighteen wheeler was blown across the highway and the driver lost control and hit my dad's truck head on. I was eleven years old at the time. I remember when he bought the truck in the early eighties just two blocks from our house at a used car lot. I remember riding in the back on the spare tire and standing on the bed rail and jumping off the side. I had to stand on the bumper in order to reach the hood to close it.
My first car was a 1963 Fairlane 500 and I'd love to have it back. I never really got to drive it before I traded it off for something else. it was a white four door with a 260 V8 and the Fordomatic 2 speed trans, and it was really solid!
