Re: HAPPY FATHERS DAY!!!
Thank you sport71. Same to you and to all the others. I would love to spend the day with my dad but he's far away but I am spending part of the day with my father in law. I love him like my own dad.

Re: HAPPY FATHERS DAY!!!
Thanks!
I had a good fathers day, took the boat out with my boys and went swimming. Although my Dad is in KY, they took there boat out too so it was kinda like we where hanging out. I bought him and my Mom, plain tickets for Fathers/Mothers day so they will be here tomorrow night. I am excited, I have a weeks worth of leave so I will get to hang out with my folks the whole week. But Happy Fathers Day to all the Dads out there!

Re: HAPPY FATHERS DAY!!!
Thank You sport71 and the very same back to You!
I celebrated by flashing up my '59 Edsel, poured in about 10 gallons of 100LL octane aviation gas and went for a 100 mile cruise to my youngest daughter's place and had bar-b-que pork ribs with them and the Grandkids. Had a great ride in clear blue skies, had a great dinner and blew the doors off a Camaro and some sort of ricer. It's really hard to tell just what they are when they dissappear so fast in the rear view mirror. Hope all had a good one, and hope to hear from you all next year!

Re: HAPPY FATHERS DAY!!!
I just got married on May 1st. My wife has two children. She and her ex husband have joint custody I guess because the children spend every or every other weekend with their dad (her ex). Anyway, I am not a father yet but we are working on it.
I suppose I AM a step father now though. Does that count? Anyway, my beautiful step children are a 5 year old boy and a 13 year old girl.
I lost my dad 25 years ago on june 5th from an automobile accident. It wasn't anyone's fault. He was driving home during a severe thunderstorm and I believe a mini tornado or wind shear or something ( a wind gust) blew a tractor trailer enough to cause it to lose control crossing into oncoming traffic on the freeway. My dad died in his '71 F100 that day. Whew! What a story.
HAPPY FATHER'S DAY YALL! Cherish every moment with your dad/children.
