f100 160 ft leap

Post by rangerdanger »

Last night i saw the previews of an old australian movie called " dead end drive in" Criminals get put into a drive in complete with electrified boundary fence, and forced to watch violent movies. In the ensuing mayhem an enterprising crim builds a ramp and leaps his f truck over the fence to freedom. The leap was 160 ft and a record at the time circa 1979?. If anyone has a copy i would love to watch it.

The jump is 4:50 in on the last one 9/9 here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mEf3emqf ... re=related it is a Dent side.

There is a cool Bump tow truck in the first parts and some other cool old iron in this movie like old Capri's like I used to have

the australian film industry received heaps of funding during the early eighties. So filmakers turned out heaps of genre films like this one. So tybob81 you may not have seen the worst fim yet. Ill keep us updated

went to a hot rod show on the week end and bought a copy of the movie. Your right some cool cars but dialouge and plot were non existent. I might advertise it on ebay. out of ten 2 stars.

i liked the cop car f truck. Our cops have that blue white check on some cars and there uniforms etc. The red mini minor was a seventys job. or maybe a leyland. %8 chevs are so popular here you pay up to 40 thousand for one in concourse condition. 67 f trucks are in the 3.000 to 20 thousand bracket. 52 to 58 f trucks fetch a higher price.

OK, so thats not the best movie from Australia.

I think however this trilogy turned out pretty well. Here's a nice compilation.

Good one!

Those movies have some of the best car stunts ever done in a movie. And they are from back, before it could be faked with CGI. Somebady actually had to drive those cars, trucks , and bikes. They couldn't draw them with computers.
