Congrats on getting it. You'll be big timin' it from here on out.

I like the v twin engines. Lots of power & smooth running. My brother has a home depot mower, I forget the brand & it has a 20 or 21 horse single briggs on it. In tall grass you can feel the engine shake the mower everytime it fires. Not smooth at all.

I had an old I twin 16 horse Murry years ago, it ran smooth & had good power as well. I have nothing bad to say about the old I twin motors. Mine never gave me any trouble.

Sorry for the babble, congrats on the new mower

Mower was delivered around noon. I have almost two hours on it now.

Far as power, preliminary thoughts are that it has some decent power. Now if I get a bagging system which has a belt driven blower I do not think that 20 hp is enough.

My only complaint is my $7000 mower uses a standard Indak key. For the money I thought it would have a more unique key. Even the guy at the dealer shared my view on that.

Congrats man. Shes a bute.

I cant believe it has a Indak key. What are they smokin' :x

I guess if you lost your new set, you could still use the Murry set & go to work.

Am I understanding payload capacity right? The trailer is 2090lb payload capacity. The gvwr is 2990. I belive the trailer is 900 lbs empty.

So does that mean the trailer can only handle 2090 lbs?

Got the trailer today. Would have been $1400 before tax. But it had a badly warped plank, and another one that was split. Got a $200 discount.

With the mower on it, it pulls very nicely.

Today on my way back from the tag office I stopped by the Exmark dealer to price a few accessories.

The bagging system...$1799
Mulch kit...$289
Operator controlled discharge block off...$200.

At least new blades only cost $13.50 each.

On the 17th I took my new riding mower back to the dealer because of a oil leak. Told me I did not have the oil drain tight enough after changing the oil. Took them 5 days to fix it.

Well Monday I noticed oil on the mower frame around the engine again. Took it back to the dealer. Hope they get it right this time.

They say it is the crankcase gasket on the engine.

This is on my recently purchased 48"Exmarkl Lazer Z AS.

The loner mower I got is a 2010 Exmark Lazer Z Advantage Series X, with a 48" deck and a 22 hp Kawasaki engine. Even though there is only a 2hp difference between them (aside from engine make) the loner seems to have more power.

Not only that but on mine if the throttle is too low when you switch the blades on you can kill the engine. Can only throttle it down from wide open the thickness of the throttle lever, any more and it dies. This one there is a bit more room for error.

On the good side of things I have gotten a Redmax string trimmer, and today I got a gas powered hedge trimmer.

I got my mower back Saturday morning. I took it off the trailer and parked it.

This afternoon I tried to cut my neighbors lawn. Every time I hit the PTO switch to turn the blades on the engine would die.

Im unhappy with the dealer and the machine.

I have the opportunity to take on ten more commercial lots that need attention. Cant do it with a mower that keeps messing up.

Thats rediculous.

Are you at idle when you hit the pto or are you at speed? I can see it dieing at idle, the electric clutch pto's hook up real quick & they put alot of bind on the motor. But at speed it shouldnt be a problem at all.

I would have raised hell with the oil leak. A brand new machine is NOT supposed to have a crank gasket leak.

Take it back & tell them you are extreemely unhappy & want a new mower. This one sounds like a lemon. For 7k of mower, you should NOT be having these kinds of problems.

How many hours do you have on it now?

I have a whopping 15 hrs on it. :o

In the instructions your supposed to engage and disengage the PTO at half engine speed. Tried it with the throttle wide open. No luck.

Took it back this morning. They looked at it while I was there and said that the belt for the deck had came off a pulley. They said it might have been because of me cutting tall, thick grass too fast. (While pointing at the clippings on the top of the deck)

Considering I took it home Saturday morning and parked it. Then took it out Sunday afternoon to cut my neighbors grass and didnt get to cut anything. I am standing by my feelings it was a goof on their part.

I did let it be known I wanted a different machine.

I got the mower on 6/26. Have not had it even two months yet.

I would be looking into the lemon law and seeing what your options are, If your haveing these problems now there not going to get any better with time, and when the warrenty goes out then its on your dime. My dad has a troy-bilt 19hp zero turn and he wanted me to cut some grass around the field with it and it never missed a beat, i was thinking that its not going to cut grass thats 3 foot tall, yes 3 foot tall grass and it choped it down almost even on the first pass. went the oppeset direction the second time and it looked like the grass had never gotten tall. His mower is 4 years old and has over 200 hours on it and has performed great, Changing the oil, greaseing it and cleaning is all thats ever been done to it, Has never had any problems of any kind with it and can engauge the mower just off idel and it dosent kill the engine. $.02,,,,, As far as the key is concerned almost all equipment has the same key, ive got a caterpiller backhoe and can use the same key and get on someones $350,000 excavator and start it, the best thing to do is change the cylender because you might get a suprise like me and see someone on your equipment that never asked if they could use it. I changed every key on everything i had after that because you never know when someone wants to steal something.
