Not exactly a movie, but in the original Dukes of Hazzard tv series, Cooter usually drove a bump tow truck. It was either a 68 or 69 painted red, white, and blue. I thought of that today because I saw a bump tow truck in action this afternoon(they're still out there).

They guy I bought my truck from has a Bump tow truck that he still uses, and he's not that old!

It's awesome to see them still out there, one day I drove across town and saw 7 including mine at the shop before I left! 2 were camper specials!

Not only is there one in a few of his videos, but in three of them, the fish ain't biting, the road you leave behind and dust on the bottle they are all one and the samer, and i would beleive it if it was his own personal truck. if it's not and just a prop for the videos(probably all shot the same year, maybe even mnonth and day too.) that would still be cool also there is a similiar colored Flare side truck in party crowd video. I do beleive he was what linda Rhondstat would have called a bump lover when a bump lover wasn't cool.

i know for sure the second or third am pie there is a bump crew 68-69 i beleive judging by the grill, the boys drive it while painting and cleaning houses.

I was watching Con Air yesterday and caught a very quick glimpse of what I believe was a bump. It was at the part where they are at Lander's Field airport and I believe there was an abandoned bump next to one of the run down buildings. Now, I just got a glimpse and have not been able to verify it by watching it again, so until it is confirmed, dont bite my head off if I was wrong.. lol

Sorry, but if this is the one your talking about, then no. It's a '61 Chevy Apache Stepside.

Is a '79 F250 a bump? If so, there's one in backdraft. It was on the other day and I spotted it.

Wow, way to pull that photo Sparx!! That may have been the truck I caught a glimpse of, I am not sure. But more than likely. Anyway, I am amazed that you were able to pull that photo that quickly.. lol

Anyway, glad I put in the disclaimer that I may have been wrong, because it appears that I was. :)

Hey any time. There was a couple other trucks in the movie, but that's the only one that looks remotely like a bump, so it's safe to say it's probobly the one ya saw. :)
