Some bump action video from a week or two ago..
The first is a short clip getting off the freeway at highway speeds.
The second is cruising down the 35 mph boulevard to the pon-d.
Was shot in 720p HD, but I converted to wmv to play in most players
and reduce the monster file size.
Note how bumpy purrs like a kitty kat..
You can hear that floor shift 4 speed clack as I shift..

BTW, yea I know I need a new windshield.. It's ugly..
Needs new paint too..

Re: Drive my bump
Thanks for sharing!
Wow, it's a shame your video camera can only pick up high pitched noises. Hence we can hear you shift but can't hear the engine at all.
Also, my perspective on how fast you're going is way distorted, it looks like you're going a lot faster than 35mph! Also I have a tendency to drive my Bump very slowly (fastest I've ever had it is 60mph!).

Re: Drive my bump
Yea, the audio response is not the greatest on that camera. Three little itty bitty holes in
front of the mic element.. But actually I can hear it myself, playing through my speakers.
In reality, the engine is pretty quiet and is not going to be too loud on any camera..
In fact, I have another video somewhere that was taken with a JVC cam that has fairly
decent low end response, and you can't hardly hear the engine in it either.
It's got totally stock pipes and muffler.. I like six bangers to be quiet... I think
they sound kind of funky when loud.. Almost like some kind of a boat..
I was doing 35 mph right on the money. The cord you see going up to the visor
leads to a GPS. I use it for my speedometer. Exiting the freeway, I was probably
doing 50-55 or so.. I had just left one turning overpass and actually sped up a
bit as I was moving to the right. I was probably doing about 55 when I got into
the right lane. The limit is 60..
BTW, here is the other vid using the JVC.. It was the morning after Hurricane Ike..
The engine is still fairly quiet.. Note how loud the sound of me turning the wiper
switch is..

You don't see it in the video, but I was using the truck as my hurricane control center
the night before when the storm blew in.
Had ham radios in it, and also a 13 inch color TV was on the floor for news. It was
running off an inverter. I was sitting out in the street that night, and at about 2 AM
had a car pull alongside my 74 truck which was parked behind the 68 I was in..
I'm thinking... huh??? Who is out here during a hurricane. Well, I was watching them,
and they couldn't see me in the front truck due to the camper shell.
The @#$%er's were trying to steal my gas! But I had a locking cap.. Chortle..
The guy on the passenger side checked my cap, and then tried the doors. They were
locked. So he gets back in and they pull up alongside the truck I was in.
I beamed them in the eyes with my half zillion CP light bulb. They jumped out of their
skins. And I got a good look at them too. They decided it was time to RUNNOFT, and
took off squealing around the corner ahead of me. They probably thought I called the
police on them, but I decided not to because of the hurricane. I figured they were
busy enough and didn't need to worry about a theft that never was completed..
