Interesting weather for the first night of chuckwagon races in the annual weeklong rodeo here. It was a hot beautiful day until about eight when the mighty cumulonimbussusses drifted over. Hailed twice, lots of wicked lightning and lots of water but the main deluge held off til the end of the last heat. Can only get better
Lined up for their heat; beautiful highstrung thoroughbreds
This is the last stop for the chucks before Calgary and the races are broadcast live at 8 mst on
http://www.classiccountryam1060.com/. It's a pretty rewarding stop for
the regular cowboys too. A lot of big names have been here. I'll try for more pics.
