Why is it that the trucks are always the best running vehicles in the family?

Re: Tips-Tricks
I took used rubber back carpet runs from work cut them in half and was able to carpet the inside of my truck. Tuned out really nice and it helped keep some of the noise down in the cab. Best part it was free.
Ill try n post pics if anyone is interested on how it looks.

Remember when you take a steering wheel off make sure you leave the nut on by a couple of threads. I was putting a turn signal it my 68 and i was trying to take the steering wheel off and it was rusted on the splines and i started to hit the back of the steering wheel and it started to move then i hit the back of the steering wheel one good time and BAM the steering wheel hits my nose.

Spray your favorite rust buster on anything you want to take apart at least two weeks before trying...
If your hand tools say 'Made in China' or 'Made in Taiwan', throw them away before working on the bump.
And then there's that damn hood latch...

Sorry, But that was funny to me. They make pullers to get the wheel off.1982 flareside wrote:Remember when you take a steering wheel off make sure you leave the nut on by a couple of threads. Re: Tips-Tricks
I'd like to know the best starting procedure. Pump the gas then start it? Try starting it with the gas pedal depressed a bit? What works best?
I've flooded the truck more than once.

Try one way one morning, then another the next day until you find the easiest way.

Don't let anyone slam your tailgate shut. They should be closed easy with the hanlde pulled to the open position.

When replacing axle seals or pulling a rear axle, turn the drum over and put it on the axle flange backwards, put three lug nuts on a few turns each and use the drum as a slide hammer to persuade the axle out...
