If this is a tech question please change to the right section. I just blew my wheel cylinders in my 68. I cant decide to just replace wheel cylinder or switch to disc brakes. I have the 72 that i am parting out it has right splinde and every thing. We was going to swap the drum to disc these winter. i need opinons.

I'd say just install new wheel cylinders and wait. New wheel cylinders aren't too pricey, and if you just replace them now you won't have too much down time, at least not as much as you would if you were to do the disc-brake swap now. Then again if you don't drive your bump too much then it would be a good idea to do the swap during the summer, because Kentucky winters are just a tad bit cold to be doing disc-brake swaps IMO :lol:. Good luck doing whatever you decide to do!

depends on how soon you need the truck running. new wheel cylinders are about 10.00 each. if you need time to get the disc stuff rebuilt and painted then go ahead and wait until they are done.
