Bought a 68 LWB when i was 19 with no motor or trans for $300 that was in very good shape. Found a 69 lincoin 4 door w/460 4bbl in it and pulled the motor and trans to put in the truck but the trans was built twisted, Ive never seen that since. Found a C6 and the guy had a 429CJ w/ a cracked block and put the heads and cam in the 460. Put in a 4.11 posi rear. That truck didnt take any crap from any chevy, and paid me back every dime from loseing chevys.

My dad's 27 Model T roadster pickup which is now mine.
I came home from being born in the hospital in a '52 Mercury 2 ton.

i a 1985 ford f350 flatbed with a 6.9 non turbo diesel. gon tmy first bump when i eas 18 a 69 f100 and had two 71's since then.

I was 13, just a couple months away from turning 14. Its a 67 f100 long bed that I got from a guy 2 hours up. We made a trip up there to check it out for my brother, he didn't like it but I was in luuuuuv. We payed the guy to trailer it to our house about a week later. Came with a 1971 429 with a c6 with matching numbers to one another. It was rough but I was looking for a project to keep me busy and to fix up for when I turned 16. I'm 16 now, not done yet but its getting close. I started planning out what I was going to do to her, I enjoyed moving her around and boy I just can't wait to move her again with the fully built motor in it.

My dad brought me my first bump my 70 F100 before I turned 16 because I drove it from OK to MO with a permit and I was suppose to have it fixed up and daily driving when I turned 16 that didn't happen and I didn't daily drive it till right aroun when I turned 18 then I traded it for a highboy............i miss that truck. But now I drive my 95 F150 that I've ha since I was about 16 or so.

My first was an '83 F250 4x4. 300 six, 4spd. It was the first vehicle that I bought in August, 1990. Almost 20 years of Ford trucks for me now.
Here's me back in '90. I was 20 years old.

Next was a '96 F250 4x4. 351, 5spd. New, April, 1996. My first new vehicle.

Next the bump in Feb, 2006.

Most recent is the '00 F250 Supercab 4x4. V10, auto. Bought used in March, 2008.

I only have the '70 and the '00 now.

My very first Ford truck, bought it when i was 15 yrs old. 1950 F-5, DRW, 337 flathead V-8 with custom made headers and stacks. 4 spd crash box with a Timken housing at 5.88-1. Rolled on 8.25X20 two-piece rims. 16' foot deck with stake sides. NO turn signals and only one brake light.
I bought it from a county auction, they had used it for an old tanker truck. I swapped the tank for the deck. Built the exhaust, converted it to 12 volt, and drove like i was a king.
Got my first Bump when i was 18. 1969 F-100 Ranger, oil burnin 360/C-6 with only reverse. Built a 390 for it, got a T-18, and loved every minute of it. Literally drove her into the ground. Still have lots of parts from her.

There were other fords along the way...but those are the firsts.

I didn't know you owned "a hole in the water".
I am still envious of your "special factory order dash attachment" I will use that idea...someday.
The 2000 looks nice, but i think the '70 looks better. (Bias opinion)

We've had the hole in the water for 10 years now. We've been thinking about getting rid of it to save some $$$ for a a few years now, but we always change our minds, pay the rent, and put it in the river in the spring. After the first day out on the river we are happy we stuck it out another year. That whole thing about the two happiest days in a boat owner's life is BS. The happiest day in this boater's life is spent out on the water with his hunnie, in the sun, with some snacks and cocktails. Nights under fireworks are even better!

I am sad to report that it is GM powered. It has been repowered twice!
