Ever put an old body on a newer frame???
Just wondering if anyone has ever put an old bump on a newer frame, and if so which year?

I would put my truck on a 1994-95 dodge diesel chassis in a heart beat, but my money tree died.
1968 F100 Took the running 390 out, and installed a Built 300 with AOD.

Why? The 94+ dodge chassis aren't anything to gloat about, they're pretty embarassing. The dodge chassis might be a tiny bit heavier than a 67-72 F100 chassis, but a bump 250 2wd frame beats it hands down and a bump 250 4x4 frame makes it a joke.

I believe that our members Ford4X4fun and Steve C also did this with later 70's running gear.
There's gotta' be a search "words" that could find this?

Re: Ever put an old body on a newer frame???
My cousin's dropping a 67 cab and box on a '95 frame. Strictly a low budget swap with a rattlecan blitz black paint job, all the money's being spent on the engineering. It's a good groundbreaker as I'd like to do the same with my '89 4x4. Here's a couple of pics I took tonight...
main problem on these is that the engine sits back further in the frame, at least two-three inches and therefor some firewall adjustment is required...
here's roughly where the front mount sits...
another inch clearance at the front of tire will be gained with minor firewall work, really needs more but the one might work...
