Bumps I saw at work

Post by Sparx Macgyver »

Hopefully I can get some pics, but I saw a couple trucks yesterday.

I. Arriving at work, the truck was pulling out of the parking entrance/exit. ONly saw it for a couple seconds, but it was nice. Same era as ours, I'm guessing an F350HD. I don't have any other info than it was white and a tow truck. If I see it again, and can snag the owner for a minute, I'll get more info.

II. While doing my rounds, saw a '67 (Identified by the grill). I'm assuming F100, cause it looked smaller than the F250, but bigger than a Ranger. No badges, not even FORD on the front. Runs nice, and looks great. Didn't get a chance to talk to the owner as I was doing rounds, but I saw it pull in, was able to go by it and get a closer look, but had to move on and finish my rounds.

III. White/blue '67 F250. Able to speak with the owner. Nice guy. Doesn't hae a PC, so no chance of hime coming here, but nice truck, and guy.

If I see any of them again, I'll ask if I can take a few pics or video, since I'll have my camera with me now. :D

So, I saw another one today. Got to speak to the owner. Real nice guy. Both him and his son own 5th gen trucks, so that's pretty neat. Here's what I got of there truck. It's only two pics, but it's all I got. Though I did pull a bone-head move. Forgot to tell'em about this place.

Anyway. here it is. It's a '72 F250 Ranger XLT Camper Special.

That old Ford has seen better days, but im willing to bet it's still stout as an ox.

Thanks. I wish I'd been smart enough to remember this site, and ask him to join if he'd like to (unless he's a member lurking somehwere...)

but I agree. Nice looking truck and sounded pretty good starting up too! According to the guy, it was a $200 truck. Hell of a deal if you ask me.

That's a GREAT truck! It is a lot like mine, UGLY! Though beauty is only skin deep

It'll be a while before mine "looks" nice, but it will be working solid and the drivetrain not leaking when I start to use it.

On a side note, tonight after visiting my mother-in-law at the nursing home, the neighborhood behind the place had 3 bumps in it! Blue, Orange and Green (I think) and one was a 4x4; I love seeing them around!

Maybe out west, but in the Rust Belt that would be a clean ,unrestored survivor.
