usually they are on the face of the outer part of the pulley. but not all pulley had them. sometimes they were inked on there. so they may have worn off over the years. what are you needing to know?

i was reading about how when you add power steering and a/c that you need to change the pulleys out to accept the add ons. the 390 that i have was from a 69 LTD that had both a/c and p/s im just not sure if my dad swapped the pulleys or not i know that the crank pulley has 3 grooves on it and the other smaller pulley i forget what it is has 2 grooves.

when adding those accesories you have to have the pulley line up. that is what it is all about. i think for ps you can use the pulley marked AF or 7AA. and that will line up with the pulleys you have. the a/c pulley will be the same i think for all v8 fords. the a/c idler pulleys will be for a Truck only though. a/c also depends on whether it is factory or aftermarket installed. as ell the power steering can also be a difference in factory vs aftermarket. 3 grooves for the crank is good. you can run a/c and power steering with that. the crank pulley will need to be 2 grooves for power steering if it is factory ps and you use the AF or 7AA pulleys. if it is aftermarket you only need the third crank pulley. if you have the 2 groove alt pulley then you need the aftermarket ps.
