Who in their right mind, even in California, would let a towing company get that? Of course i ask that and know full well i plan to buy up cars and trucks and refurb and sell 'em on the side once i start my own tow yard.

Man if the price is rite you need to get your set out of her purse and go buy it. Wives get pissed at husbands. Thats what they do. Well that and the dishes. She will get over it.

You damn right it would be. I'd even sleep on it without the cushions.
I work a couple of weekends a month for a tow company here in town, you would be suprised how many people lose cars over a couple of hundred bucks. if you're going to start a tow yard you won't have to buy too many cars to fix up, good ones will just fall in your lap. it takes 20 minutes and $5 in fuel to pick up a junker abandon..... the boss sells those to the salvage yard for min $150..... and that's just the junkers. it costs the same to tow a good drivable car.... do the math.... it's like finding $100 bills on the side of the road.
yup when i drove for a local outfit, i got ahold of a 69 ranger with a blown up 300 for the cost of all the abandoned vehicle filing fees. Swapped the bed for a motor and trans to replace my blown up engine in the 72. and used the right fender and hood for my truck.

yes, great place to pick up parts. I stopped in a week ago and let let them know I'd like first dibs on any bumps that comes through there... before they're off to the salvage yard, just not sure I'm patient enough to wait.
