Got off work at 1am last night, started my 07 Mustang, drove to the gas station, tanked up, got back i the car.......................womp womp CLICK CLICK CLICK. DEAD BATTERY! Now at 1 AMI everyone I know is asleep, there was NOONE around and I knew if I called ANYONE I worked with it would be hell to pay in the form of merciless FORD jokes. Well after trying to call a few othe people I was fored to resort to calling my dad, who had been in bed since 930,and who HATES being woke up. AND he lives 40 miles away. Horribly embarrassed I sat at a Chevron station for over an hour. About 2 some very drunk people sarted roaming around. Two chicks almost got in a fight, and the guy that worked there didnt even own a car and aced like he was on crack.
My battery starts 99% of the time, it started to go to the station, it just wouldnt start a second time. If I leave the car sit a couple days it may not start. I guess it does need to be replaced. ...........

Re: Time for a battery I guess
My 2007 Mustang doesnt have a battery gauge sadly.
And my bump has a bad cell in its battery. Last time I took it to town It hit the bad cell at Walmart, I had to be jumped by an old geezer with a Duramax (!$#$@%#*&!!*##^@&!#!@!@!!$$) My bump is usually what I use to jump everything. It always starts (at least when its on a good cell)

Re: Time for a battery I guess
I think my bump's battery is on its way out.
It's a Carquest brand from G4 (July 2004) and it will hold 12.2v (about 50% charge) for awhile. The more I drive, the more it drops eventually reaching 9v. Then the engine won't start. It never dies when running- even with the headlights on, so the alternator is outputting. The alternator tested good two weeks ago and it was getting 13.x v at idle. The PO replaced the alternator, but hooked the ground wire to the stator terminal so it wasn't charging for a few days to a few weeks. That probably killed the 6 year old battery.

Re: Time for a battery I guess
I have a motorcycle with a battery that was put in it in 1999. Still starts and runs like new.
I keep a C-Tek charger on it all the time when not riding it. I swear by them.
