, But I don't think it would fit on the roof of a bump . If it were me I'd put it under the hood on the inner fender probably. I really like the dual spot-lights on it they give the truck a retro look .

Im shocked to see a 1970 work truck in that good of condition, Most work trucks i see after 3-4 years the new is lost and people start beating on them like a rental. Good eye on the spot lights casey, you dont see them around much anymore. I dont think that truck gets used much, looks to be in better shape than some of the bump fire trucks that come up in auctions, i bet its very low miles on it.
DRW= Dual Rear Wheel (Dually)
SRW+ Single Rear Wheel
Took me a little while to learn what they meant too .

You guys notice the eight lug wheels on this one that basketcase found?
That '77-'86 box would sure look better with the round fenders like sequoia noted. Nice thing about it is it's the widened version that fits the width of the cab better. When they brought out the new widened flareside box in '76 after a 3 year hiatus, it had the 45 degree side panels. They flattened the tops for '77, probably for asthetic reasons.
You're right, Jeremy, about that bed being 80-up but the basic box is the same one used from 77-79 with the rounded fenders. And why someone would put 3/4 ton suspension on a quarter ton truck is a mystery to me
Each to his own...
Lots of people on a Dodge forum put 3/4 ton or 1 ton axles, brakes, steering, and springs on the 1/2 ton Rams. At least the 2nd gens anyway.
The only problem I have with it is the engine/transmission not being strong enough, but the 5.9L gas can be had in a 1/2 ton and 3/4 ton.
Also, the badging still says 1500 unless you change that, too.
I would only upgrade the parts if they failed- especially more than once. Or maybe bigger springs in the rear, but I have my 3/4 ton bump for hauling.
