thank you 4x4: it took me 2 hours to make the 45 min trip home cause i could only drive thirty but it was a fabulous feeling: i haven?t been behind that wheel in at least 8 years. my son has declared it his truck but he never met my dad so i hope this is a good way for him to connect with my roots.

Looks like the truck has potential for sure, you can tell that little man is gonna' get that truck someday! :lol:

SOLD-71 F-350 dually flatbed, 302 / .030 over V-8 with a "baby"C-6, B & M truckshifter, Dana70/4.11 ratio, intermittent wipers, tilt steering, full LED lighting on the flat bed, and no stereo yet (this way I can hear the rattles to diagnose)! SOLD!
Many Ford bumps / one 76' EB / and several dents through the years.
A lot of "oddball" Ford parts collected from working on them for 34 years now!

i know what you mean by the feeling it was about the same length of time since i had gotten my dad's truck back from my older brother and you just cant beat the feeling of a good old family truck
