TRY TO TRACE MY VIN NUMBER

i AM TRYING TO TRACE MY VIN NUMBER TO JUSTIFY THE MILAGE AND SUCH.
BUT CAN'T FIND ANY INFORMATION ABOUT PREVIOUS OWNERS ETC. TRACED DONE ALL
THE STUFF ON THE DOOR SILL PLATE, BUT FIND NOTHING ELSE ONLINE. IS THIS
POSSIBLE OR JUST FORGET ABOUT IT. I KNOW THE DMV WILL KNOW, JUST A QUESTION
AS IT CAME FROM ANOTHER STATE AT SOME POINT. :hmm:

I'm pretty sure the DMV can do a 50 state check type deal to figure it out. I know they do a 50 state check when you apply for a lost title as I had a friend do that with a Camaro he had. If nothing else you could give your local DMV office a call and find out if they can do it or at least point you in the right direction as to who is capable of doing it. Good Luck!

kansas dmv cant do a 50 state check. but they will have a came from this state thing yo ucan find. it costs 10.00 fo ra title history here in kansas. my 68 was sold in missouri. made it to south dakota and then back to kansas. where i bought it at. from the guy who took it up to south dakota from missouri.

Well your title should have the previous owners name on it. then use switchboard.com to find out where he lives and what his number is and what not. I plan on tracing my truck back once its done, I know where two of the previous owners live. Just have to wait until its done. :D I can't wait to drive up and see the look on their face, the last owner works with my dad and he knows I'm going to bring it back to life and show him it. He got it from his buddy.
