Looking at new wheels

Post by Mancar1 »

Got my new tires Saturday, took the 68 back today due to a light shimmy I didn't have with the old tires. Turned out one of the wheels that was on the back when I bought the truck was shifted to the front when the new tires were installed, and it was slightly out of round :( (I saw for myself as it was spinning on the balancer.) So that is a good reason to get a new set of wheels :hd: Any suggestions? 16" wheels with 235 85 16E. Here is a pic of the wheels I now have. Anyones pics of their custom wheel would help.

May your sails stay full, and your knots not slip. Unless a slip knot.

Here's my vote:http://www.summitracing.com/parts/ARE-236882/ I really like the look and they won't break the bank too bad either. These wheels look decent and would probably be my second choice:http://www.summitracing.com/parts/SUM-5 ... /?rtype=10 Good luck getting new wheels! Sorry to hear about what happened though .

Both are nice choices.
I have run the AR-23's on a couple different trucks back in the late 90's and they looked great, one of my favorite wheels. Simple and classic. I would suggest getting a wheel in 16x7's though, 16x8's are a bit too wide for the 235/85R16's you have. They will fit, but to me they look a bit funny, like the sidewalls are being stretched out.

I run 256-75R-16 to keep my speedo in check on my F-250 originals were 16-5 so theses are the same diameter as 16-5.
