With the links you posted, the last of the old school looking slotted mags will your truck look dated. BUT, I think if use covers or painted
hubs, they could add more to the appearence. Showing of inside the hub area. These wheels used to be really popular, I would think they would be easy to find used. On your origin aluminum, I would have them anodized. It is a clear protective coating, that the new trucks have to stop all the piting. But if you rub a curb it can start to peel of. Hope this helps, nice looking truck you have tho, just got my new project last Sunday. Tim

I'm partial to the Cragar soft 8's (#3). Thought about those for my truck, when I'm ready for 'em. There's a set like 'em at a local store but they have the inside edges of the circles painted gloss black. Pretty cool. Beautiful bump, btw!

That's really where I've been leaning also. I had thought about doing some gloss black and having a black and chrome wheel also. Might have to look into that. Thanks for the advice!!!

Thanks for the advice, Tim. I have never checked in to having something anodized. Is it a coating that a local paint shop would be able to get and apply? Or something that maybe is available in a rattle can that I could get and spray on???

I may be wrong, but I think most of the new wheels are powder coated with clear. :hmm:

At least the ones on our 96 Grand Cherokee, my '02 and '03 Dodge Rams and our '02 Xterra are/were.

Why is it that there's seldom time to fix it right the first time, but there's always time to fix it right the second time???

That's not an oil leak :nono: That's SWEAT from all that HORSEPOWER!!

Number 3# would be my choice! dont settle for 1# and 2# when your probably going to have the truck for awhile, get what you really want! and I like those better for the older look!

The anodizing is not a spray on, or rattle can. I work in the RV field and get advertizing for companys that can take your
chrome and either anodize it, which is a thin plastic coating. It is more commonly seen on brass belt buckels aon other things.
I will see if i can find you a link to one of them. And yes some are powdered coated clear, usually if they have paint in them.
There also so guys advertizing and electroplating trim and turning it from shiy steel to a gold color. Thought about this for my
bump after I paint it to match my gold trim on my Lincoln. Dark Metallic Blue, with all gold trim. Probably fine a set of the same stlye rims an blast the chrome of and paint same blue, with gold detailing.
I will send you a pm when I find a couple of links.:drive:
Then they will match my Marine uniform, OOHRAH !
