Detroit Iron 1970 F100-F350/E100-E350 shop manual on CD. That and Fordification.com! It's better than any shop manual!

Re: What Manual do you use.
truthfully. i dont use one. i have one like above but i only use it to help you guys with timing and spark plug gap issues. i guess i have had my truck long enough that i just know how it comes apart and goes back together. plus the last 6-7 trucks i have parted out also helps. i thas also made me faster removing parts from these trucks.

Re: What Manual do you use.
By far the best manual is the factory shop manual. It's extremely detailed and very comprehensive and includes a LOT of important information not found in the aftermarket manuals like Haynes. If you plan on keeping your truck for any period of time and doing the work yourself, I'd highly suggest picking up a set.
Here's a set of the actual manuals on E-bay right now:
http://cgi.ebay.com/1968-Ford-Truck-Fac ... 2eafe23af3
...but these are also available on CD. Just do a search there for '1968 Ford Truck Shop Manual' and you'll see all the listings.

Re: What Manual do you use.
I have Chiltons and Motors manuals from the 30's up to 92 for trucks and autos. (Bought, passed down to me, and traded for). What I use a lot is what I've learned from the school of hard "piston"
knocks
Yes fordman I agree. Just put it together like you took it apart.

May your sails stay full, and your knots not slip. Unless a slip knot.

Re: What Manual do you use.
I have two or three aftermarket type books on my truck. Like above I have had it so long if it squeaks I know where it is on my truck. I do recommend the Factory manuals by far above anything else. If the truck has it the manuals have it. Cannot get anybody in my opinion. I have a set for the 71 F100 the 76 I used to have and a generic set for 72 cars

I also say spend the money for the factory ones. I get my set for around $50 including an owner's manual and the dealer brochure.

This guy also has some fairly nice wiring schematics for our trucks:

I got one for my 71' and it may not quite be perfect, but it sure helps in a bind!

I have the Chilton that JWW displayed. Though I'm not very impressed with it. Think I paid $30+ for it. Read over it, and its been under the seat ever since.

Factor shop manuals when I can get them. A set came with my first bumpside to sweeten the deal.
