I am swapping to a t-5 and it contacts the floor about 10 inches forward of the shifter. I just cut out a small section of the hump so that it is no longer hitting. The reason I need a tall hump is because my brother bought me new carpet for my birthday, meant for the c6. I have to use a hump. I have three an extra hump on a parts truck but it has been cut on before. I can use it and make it work just fine, but if somewhere out there I can buy a repo. hump i would like to do that. The color, by the way, is swiss aqua. Thanks for the comments guys.

Update 10/6
Went to Goodguy's car show this weekend. Had a blast, got burned up, saw some cool cars, got some seats, etc. I finished dynamat in my cab as well as cut a huge hole in my floor so my trans was no longer hitting. Now i need to find a trans hump, install my wiring, carpet, and build some brackets for my seats.

finished up my trans hump didn't get a picture of the finished product but i welded up some holes, cleaned primed and painted then sealed them up.installed the hump with dynamat on both sides and covered all my holes. Its amazing how much of a difference dynamat makes.

I didn't think I needed one but I have heard different from others. It also looks as if I will only be pulling air from the center. Seems inefficient...

I run a pusher electric fan (in front of the rad) on my 37 ford truck works great the 302 runs just below 180 most the time highest is 190 in heavy fairground traffic.. I have it hooked up with a temp sensor that turns it on and off. I hate those t-5 trans though one in my street rod died left me stuck on side of the interstate. I replaced it with a tremec no comparison between the two, shifts so much nicer and higher overdrive is great. Truck looks great .

Well I have been moving kinda slow the past week or so but I have been making progress. I have laid all of my wiring out and started to label it. I got some masonite to make a headliner, and wrap in vinyl. I may take it back though as it is rather inflexible. I also finished my dynamat and started on building some seat brackets. I plan on hittin' it hard this weekend as I should have some goodies waiting on my doorstep when I get home.

Great looking truck man! As for the electric fan, I have been running one for about 4 years now and have never needed a shroud. My little 302 without the fan on will get up to 190* and sit there unless I'm in dead stop traffic.

Looking good my friend. As far as the shroud on an electric fan i wouldnt worry about it. I got a 15 inch pulling through my radiator on my 72 302. Only problem is it stays too cool. It runs no higher than 170 and thats only sitting long periods in traffic. As far as normal running it never gets the gauge over 165. No shroud isnt a problem for me. I dont even have heat in winter it runs so cool. That is with the controls on the fan for high temp as possible.
