In the middle East when your caught stealing, some countries will actually chop off your hand, or both. Think we need that here it seems. Be an awful lot of government officials without any tho.

Well, at least they didn't do thousands of dollars worth of damage to get fifty bucks for scrap metal...With the rash of bank-owned empty houses we've had out here, I've been amazed at how much property damage thieves will do to get a few bucks in scrap metal...Busting walls to steal copper plumbing or electrical, destroying air conditioner units, water heaters and such...

That nonsense goes on around here too. A couple years ago 2 idjits did $37,000 in damages to a local church to get copper pipe that netted them about $8.

And about 100 hundred years ago, we just asked who had the newest rope and was done with it... We , the people, for the people.... doesn't say **** about the government..
